Nikon menhadirkan kamera
mirrorless Nikon J1 dengan fitur Hybrid autofocus yaitu yang menggabungkan
deteksi fasa dan deteksi kontras AF, hal ini memungkinkan kamera untuk
mengambil gambar hingga 10 frame-per-detik dengan autofocus.
Kamera Saku Nikon J1 ini hanya
memiliki shutter elektronik yang membatasi kecepatan sync ke 1/60th per detik namun
memungkinkan kecepatan rana hingga
1/16000th per detik. Kamera ini menggunakan basis tipe Nikon 1 berukuran 13.2mm
x 8.8mm dengan 10MP sensor CMOS. Nikon J1 mampu merekam video 1080 px FULL HD
dengan kit lensa 10-30mm (27-81mm equiv).
Nikon J1 memiliki 73 poin sistem
focal plane phase detection autofocus dan 135 poin yang digunakan untuk deteksi kontras, kamera ini juga mampu
berganti antara deteksi phase dan deteksi kontras. Kamera ini mempunyai Auto Focus sesuai scene dan diklain memiliki
autofokus tercepat dengan teknologi Nikon EXPEED 3 image processing engine
dengan prosesor image dual core yang juga memberikan performa pemrosesan low
noise dan efisiensi batere Lithium-ion.
